Conferences

CGA Flier at Kyiv

Dave contacted CGA about distributing IGDA flyer at CGA events. CGA was asking for things Dave was not comfortable delivering so no flyer was passed out at Kyiv. In the future CGA will distribute the IGDA quarterly newsletter but other things such as flyers are uncertain. Dave will also work with Jason Della Rocca about getting more symmetry with some CGA access to IGDA events.

Hamburg

• Hope to have a print version of newsletter

Seattle

• Will distribute print version of quarterly
• Plan to have information session

GDC / Whitepaper

Dave will be hosting Roundtable working group at GDC

Initiative Updates

Quarterly Newsletter

Michael Wyman / Alfredo Chaves

• Have total of 3 articles. Waiting for final draft of wades article. Final PDF version should be online in a couple weeks
• Focus efforts on making next print issue with more content
• Next issue deadline Feb 20th
• Virtual roundtable about exclusivity is planned. Dave suggested ask Kenny Dinken to help coordinate this and get big players involved
• Michael will send a message to whole SIG mailing list with a call for contributors

Women in Casual Games

Kirsten Duvall Still on back burner until next year

Whitepaper Update

• 2008 Casual Games whitepaper will be done in first two weeks of November. Just writing intros and tidying things up
• 2009 paper on Casual MMO will be let by Kirsten and may be done by February. She is setting up a conference call kick off meeting
• Alex will edit social gaming section of 2009 whitepaper. Dave is working on getting more writers

• No progress now and none anticipated for December meeting
• Goal is to have work on in December to report on January call
