I. Chapter Check Up & Annual Report to IGDA
Regular communication with the IGDA is essential to your chapter’s development. Chapter check‐ups keep the IGDA apprised of your chapter’s activities and concerns, enabling the IGDA to provide appropriate levels of support, resources, etc.
A. Chapter Check Ups
The IGDA distributes check‐ups on a quarterly basis. These updates ask the following questions:
- What meetings have you planned or already held for this quarter?
- What was attendance like for meetings this quarter?
- Consider your methods for planning, promoting, and executing meetings. What works and what doesn’t?
- How would you and your members like your meetings to improve, and how might the IGDA be of assistance?
- Any logistical problems (access to chapter website, forum, chapter admin, etc.)?
We encourage coordinators to use these questions when conducting postmortems after each meeting. In addition, use them when submitting your Chapter check‐ups.
B. Annual Report
In addition to quarterly chapter check‐ups, chapter coordinators must submit an annual chapter report by February 15. This report should include:
- Brief chapter history: when the chapter formed, length of operation under current management, growth since inception, etc.
- Meetings recap: a brief description of each meeting throughout the previous calendar year, including agenda, attendance, and highlights.
Please feel free to include any additional materials at your discretion. Report contents may be excerpted for printing in the IGDA Annual Report.
