This page exists for the members of the Executive Committee to record, discuss, assign and avoid the duties and responsibilities that accord to them.

Duties

• De Facto Chair: the person who will chair the committee meetings, if anyone. Notes from Chris: I always ran on the basic principle of continuing to add points on the agenda every few minutes in the hope that doing so would mean we would be done by the end of the hour.
• Agenda: the agenda needs maintaining after any meeting. The chief things that need to be done are (1) change the date on the main page and the agenda page to match the date of the next meeting (2) take any point from the agenda that needs to be followed up and add it to the end of the Matters Arising. Delete any agenda points that don't need to be followed up. (3) Delete any Matters Arising that no longer apply, or change ownership of anything when appropriate.
• Mailing List Maintenance: Wendy Despain currently owns this task; a second person should probably be appointed.
• Committee List Maintenance: there is a list of Exec and Committee members on the Wiki that ideally should be maintained
• Set up Committee Meeting Space Online: we are reliant and indebted to Steve Jacobs for maintaining this for the SIG.
• Recruitment: this role is not clearly defined
• Co-ordination of Volunteers: this role is not clearly defined
