Private videogame collectors hold a large array of rare, unique or otherwise unavailable videogames and materials in private collections. Here you can find out the how, what why and who behind private game collectors.

Commonly second hand games are sold on online auction sites such as eBay. Certain larger collection of hundreds or thousands of items can sometimes appear, with high price tags. Some collectors will donate material or otherwise give it away too.

  • Retro Trader - A retro shop and community hub website
  • The Software Collector's Mailing List is "a list dedicated to people who collect computer software as a hobby. Mostly this translates into game software for 1980's-era home computers, but occasionally branches out into related fields such as discussions on nostalgia, copy-protection, history, etc."
