Hiring Hall
One of the questions we were asked most frequently at Austin was "Where can I find a good game writer?" This intiative would be directed toward finding an answer. It would involve researching what companies want and helping to organize listings on the SIG web site.

Letter
A Solicitation Letter would be sent to notify companies of the Game Writers survey and Hiring Hall initiative
Survey
The second part of the Game Writers survey (to those who outsource) has been subsumed into the Hiring Hall initiative.
Collection
- Collect contact info of individuals responsible for outsourcing writing.
- Collect contact info for first line of inquiry (info@...) to discover contact info of individuals responsible for outsourcing writing.
However, it could also be the form of a big e-mail blast to IGDA membership.
Current Status
Discussions about the Hiring Hall (some under the heading "Hiring Hall 2.0" have begun in earnest on the mailing list following the Austin GDC '08. The following items are considered current pending updates based on these discussions.

- There is an existing letter that Stephen Jacobs will look at to see if it can be modified for this purpose.

- Kim Spark is looking at the GB questionnaire Andy Walsh had to see if it can be modified for our purposes. In addition, B. Couch looked at it and made suggestions. It was also sent to Haris Orkin
Hiring Hall directory info
- Have not started upon this
Collection
- Kim Spark may have a student start upon this
- Jason Della Rocca can provide IGDA Affiliates list as a start
- Francisco Rodriguez has created a Hiring Hall website with an "instant pitch" feature for game writers to use to make themselves known to potential game producers looking for talent.
