Details
Game writers currently use a mix of tools to get their work done. In most cases, these tools were not designed with game writing in mind. We will investigate what tools game writers currently use and how an open-source solution could improve game writing.
Plan of Action
- Create a Tools Questionnaire to find out what game writers are using to do their jobs, and how they could be improved.
- Create a list of must-have features based on the questionnaire.
- Create a list of desirable features based on the questionnaire.
- Investigate current open-source offerings as solutions for game writers.
- Turn our features list into a high-level design document.
- "Go public" by taking our design document to the IGDA as a project proposal.
