These are instructions on how to quickly format the meeting minutes from the chat room to look nice in the wiki. They work for the Breeze meeting room currently being donated by Stephen Jacobs' employers.

1. Attend the whole meeting on a computer that also has Microsoft Word.
2. Click inside the large chat window and use ctrl-a to select the entire proceedings of the meeting.
3. Paste this content into a new Microsoft Word document.
4. Ctrl-f to open the find/replace window

5. find all
^p (this is the code windows uses for 'new line')
6. replace all with
^p

7. take note of how many times it performs this action

8. find all
: (note this is colon, space - to avoid bolding smilies)
9. replace all with
: (don't forget to include the space again here)

10. note how many times it performs this action. It will probably be more than the previous one. This is because people sometimes use colon space in conversation, like "here's what's on the agenda:" You'll need to manually scan the document later to catch these mistakes, but even if you don't have time to do this, it won't mess up the format much.
11. find next use of the word "private" - check to see if this is a private message sent to you by another user in the middle of the meeting. It should also take you to any private messages you sent yourself. Remove these. We don't want to know. :-)
12. use ctrl-a to select all of the content in the Microsoft Word file and paste it into the wiki editing interface. (after creating a new page for the minutes on the minutes index page, of course)

13. Check to make sure your content begins with a

such that the first user's name shows up bold. Save your work.

14. Glance over it one last time on the final wiki page to make sure nothing went screwy in the process.
