IGDA London Chapter How To Send Invites to the List

Using Thinderbird
- Follow instructions on GMail site for setting up pop account. Remeber to check the Do Not Delete On Download check box.
- If you are only using Gmail, complete the SMTP section as well, else:
- In the Account Settings window, select the Outgoing Server (SMTP) tab
- Advanced
- Add
- Fill out details as shown in Gmail Help above.
- OK Settings window, OK advanced window.
- Select the IGDA London Committee->Server Settings tab
- Advanced
- Select the SMTP tab
- Select smtp.gmail.com:587
- OK Advanced window
- Select you Default Email Account->Server Settings
- Advanced
- SMTP
- Check that this is the correct SMTP server (something like: smtp.your_isp.net)
- OK
- File->New->Message
- Select IGDA London Committee from the From drop down menu.
- Click in the Message area
- Insert->HTML
- Copy & Paste HTML below
- Insert
- Change -=-=- xyz -=-=-
- Double click on the Read More link.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Edit both the href and title section with the correct date.
Using Outlook
- Follow instructions on GMail site for setting up pop/smtp account. Remeber to check the Do Not Delete On Download check box.
