IGDA Singapore Networking / Beer Evening

We're having our monthly networking event on

Friday the 28th of October, 19.30 at Brewerkz (Clark Quay MRT) in Singapore (http://www.brewerkz.com/contact.htm)

It's a casual event, mainly allowing people to network and chat. The meeting is designed for people working in the Games industry in Singapore or the surrounding area, or students just about to enter the work-force.

Topics up for discussion include the recent AGDS conference, and the upcomming World Cyber Games to be hosted in Singapore.

Aftermath

As it was a Friday dinner time, Brewerkz was already crowded with hungry patrons. We booked a table for 30 head, but by 8pm, the seats were filled with developers from local companies and big boys such as Koei, EA, Lucasarts.

As time progress, we kept adding tables to the long table until Brewerkz staff declared there were no more tables. Yet, more and more developers came (we lost headcount), and soon, many of them had to stand. Yet they were unfazed, and continued chatting and mingling with other developers.

Great to see old friends, and many new faces. Next time, we may need to book the whole place :)
