About
Twin Cities Chapter IGDA Meetings are usually held the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm. These meetings are free and open to all interested game developers, practicing or aspiring. Each meeting is focused around a particular game development topic via an informal presentation and/or guided discussion. These meetings are a terrific place to network and connect with like-minded locals. They are all about building relationships, sharing experiences, bouncing ideas, and learning to have more fun.
Next meeting Wed 8/4 6pm - Solaro - Andy Korth and Scott Lembcke of Howling Moon Software
Andy and Scott will be showing us their latest game called Solaro. It's a space action adventure game with a focus on creating your own spaceships, dogfighting action, and an interesting space topography. They're initially targeting Mac/PC, and promoting it with Unity web player builds.
Member Project: Infiltration at Dusk - Zach Johnson's game that won 2nd in Boing Boing Games Inspired by Music contest He'll cover design decisions and game making using javascript and the HTML5 canvas tag.
This month we're at the Chatterbox Pub in St. Paul in their banquet room. The actual talk starts at 6:30. Come a little early to get settled and put in food/drink orders. Hang out after for board games, Atari, NES and Kareoke in the main bar.
