Localization Summit @ GDC 2010

Greetings!

The Game Localization Summit at the 2010 Game Developers Conference is no longer soliciting session proposals from speakers with industry expertise and a fresh and unique perspective on localization, globalization, culturalization, and/or internationalization of videogame content for the global market. The deadline for speaker proposals was 11:59pm (PST) on Sunday, 15 November, 2009. All proposals will be compiled and reviewed by the IGDA Localization SIG steering committee and selected speakers will be notified in early December. Speakers that are accepted and confirmed will receive an All Access Pass for GDC 2010.

What type of content are we seeking for the Localization Summit?

  • Talks should contain practical, applicable, nuts and bolts content intended for experienced game localization and development personnel.

  • New approaches and solutions to old or ongoing localization problems.
  • Case studies and demos of specific localization projects.
  • New technologies and/or tools with universal application.
  • Note: Proposals which appear to over-promote a specific companys products will not be accepted.
