Hi everyone! I'm the chair of the Game Accessibility SIG (our website)/Game Accessibility SIG (our wiki site).

I'm a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where I have been a National Science Foundation Fellow. I have a B.A. in Music Performance, a B.S. in Psychology, and a M.A. in Multimedia Design. I have worked at Microsoft Game Studios as a Graduate Usability Intern where I focused primarily on piloting usability tests for Xbox multiplayer games. Additionally, I have worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), and the University of Nevada at Reno. I am the co-editor of the 2001 book “Visions of Quality: How Evaluators Define, Understand, and Represent Program Quality” (published by Elsevier Science) and am on the editorial board of the Computers in Entertainment Magazine, a publication of the Association for Computing Machinery. I have also authored several award-winning papers on the topic of universal accessibility from organizations such as the American Evaluators Association and the International Visual Literacy Association.

Ok...so that's a pretty formal bio that I just swipped from my GDC 2k5 bio page. So basically I'm an insane grad student gamer girl who runs a fiber arts studio on the side. And if you see me at a conference I'm likely to get in your face about creating accessible games and/or drink LOTS of coffee.
